Copenhagen airport (CPH) plans to build 1350 charging points for electric vehicles in the next decade. Most of them will be AC charging points, but HPC is also planned for short-term parking.
In 2019, an average of 83000 passengers pass through the terminal every day in CPH, many of whom use one of the airport's more than 14000 parking spaces. Some of them have been equipped with EV charging points, but the development shows that the demand will increase in the next few years.
CPH is currently working closely with EWII to build 1350 charging points at the airport in the next 10 years:
Among them, 1320 are AC EV chargers with an output power of 22 kW, and the other 30 are fast EV chargers with an output power of at least 180 kW. In 2022, the plan will build 180 AC EV chargers and 15 are fast EV chargers, and their location will enable many taxis carrying passengers in and out of the airport to also benefit from the infrastructure.
